Project data set selection

Finish by the end of Week 5 (Friday, Feb 9th)

This is a superficially simple, but possibly fraught task – identifying a data set to work on. Recall that the goal of the project is a description and analysis of a data set, posted on a web page. Some points:

• The final product should have at least four parts:
  • a desciption of the data set (what it is, where it’s from, etc.);
  • the code used to input or open the data set in R;
  • some analyses of the data, which could range from simple visualizations to a statisical analysis;
  • a discussion
• The final product can range from a simple one-page .html file, to an RMarkdown Notebook, to an RMarkdown web site.
• The product should be posted on a web site, either
  • on pages.uoregon.edu, or
  • as a GitHub Pages web page/web site associated with a repository.

The aim should be to tell a simple story well, as opposed to a complicated story badly.
